True Blood star Stephen Moyer has revealed he got inspiration from his vampire character when he proposed to fiancee Anna Paquin.

Stephen, 39, is engaged to co-star Anna Paquin, 27, who plays Sookie Stackhouse in the show.

Talking about the proposal, he said to British magazine Glamour: “There’s a song Bill listens to in the car about a white sandy beach.

“So we decided to go away for a break - to a white sandy beach - and that’s where it happened.”

The couple kept their relationship a secret from their co-stars for quite some time, but finally spilled the beans when a co-star had to film a love scene with Anna.
