Nine star Kate Hudson has revealed her son Ryder has fallen in love with her co-star Penelope Cruz.

Hudson, 30, is mum to five-year-old Ryder, and she said he recognised Cruz’s beauty when he spotted her while they were filming the new movie, which is out on December 25.

She said : “I saw Penelope in the lobby today. You could see that he recognised what a beautiful woman she is. He’s so cute!”

Hudson also revealed that she was in awe of another of her co-stars, Sophia Loren.

She said: “She’s just incredibly elegant and beautiful. And the work she’s done, and the people she’s worked with. It’s like a living legend, an icon!”
