Musician John Mayer reportedly helped reunite Lindsay Lohan with her ex-girlfriend DJ Samantha Ronson.

Mayer, 32, was recently spotted with Lohan, 23, at the New York nightclub Butter, which sparked rumours that they were more than just friends.

But an onlooker has now claimed that the singer-songwriter spent the evening helping Lohan to get back with Ronson, 32.

According to the onlooker, Lohan sat at Mayer’s table at the Manhattan hotspot and soon after he had spoken to Ronson, she joined the two of them.

The two girls were then seen chatting and laughing, before leaving the club separately at about 3am.

The onlooker said: “Lindsay seemed happier than she has in ages. Sam eventually got up and deejayed for a while, and Lindsay kept standing up and looking over to the deejay booth, smiling.”
